The Åtellet Hotell re-opened in April 2009. It is located at the mouth of the Norrtälje River, with the archipelago and sea at walking distance. Stockholm city center is at a convenient distance by bus. The hotel is built in 19th century style, with top modern facilities. The idea was to recreate the character of Norrtälje and the atmosphere of that time. Åtellet offers restaurant, café and bar services, a sauna, lounges and conference facilities. The guest rooms have an atmosphere inspired by the archipelago. Most rooms have balconies or French balconies and offer wonderful views of the Norrtälje Bay. The interiors are inspired by timeless Nordic style with emphasis on comfort and convenience. The furniture has been custom made for Åtellet by a small carpentry in Småland.
